According to a report by PREMIUM TIMES, the explosion, which was heard at about 8:20 a.m, may have recorded a high casualty as the area is usually crowded to its commercial importance.
An officer of the State Security Service, SSS, confirmed the explosion some few minutes after it occurred.
Emergency officials are said to be on their way to the explosion scene.
