US Open Update: Federer Into Last 32, Sharapova Avoids Upset Trend

Five-time US Open champion Roger Federer held his grounds against Sam Groth to move into the last 32, as South Africa’s Kevin Anderson, Croatia’s Marin Cilic and Frenchman Gael Monfils advanced in Flushing Meadows on Friday.
