Bestiality: Kuje Court Sentences Tailor To 12 Months Imprisonment For Having s*x With Goat

An Upper Area Court in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has sentenced a 20-year-old tailor to one year imprisonment for an act of bestiality (having s*xual intercourse with a she-goat).

The police prosecutor, Ocheche Samuel, told the court that the case was reported at the police station on August 19, by one Doh Ibrahim, a neighbour of the convict.

Samuel said that Abdul was caught in the act in the bathroom at Sauka Extension, a suburb of the FCT.

According to Samuel, when the accused heard footsteps approaching where he was having carnal knowledge of the she-goat, he tried to escape, but was caught and handed over to police.

The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 284 of the Criminal Code.

The accused, Sani Abdul, who resides at Sauka Extension in Kuje, was later sentenced to one year imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to a one-count charge of unnatural and indecent offences.

The presiding judge, Mr. Adamu Wakili, however, gave him an option of fine of N15, 000, but ordered that the accused be remanded in Kuje prison for one year if he could not meet the fine condition.
