Without mincing words, the ‘big boss’ added there, however, has to be improvement in the working conditions for his new deal, compared to what was obtainable during his previous spell.

“But I cannot work the way I worked last time, it’s not possible! All my staff, no! no!! no!!! We have to be professional, everybody has to do what they are supposed to do,” he added.

Head of the three-man committee for the coach’s new contract talks, Tinubu, also confirmed to AfricanFootball.com they “are making progress” and hopes both parties reach an agreement before the start of the Afcon 2015 qualifiers in September.

“We would have our terms and we know he would have his terms, but we would be working in such a way that we would arrive at an agreeable term that would suit both parties and then hopefully he signs,” Tinubu said.

The Super Eagles will start the defence of the title it won in South Africa last year against the 2013 hosts, Sudan and the winner of the second round qualifier between Congo and Rwanda.

The 2015 tournament will come up in Morocco from January 17 to February 8.
