Borussia Dortmund have not received offers for Mats Hummels, according to the club’s chief executive.
Hans-Joachim Watzke has played down rumours linking the Germany international with a move away from the Westfalendstadion in the summer in the wake of interests from top European clubs, including Manchester United.
“Mats has a contract with us until June 2017 and we have not received any offers for him yet, so we are relaxed,” Watzke is quoted as saying on German news tabloid Bild.
United have keenly monitored Hummels for much of the season, while the 2011 and 2012 Bundesliga winners have struggled in the German top flight.
The 26-year-old World Cup winner is under contract at the Signa Iduna Park until the end of 2016/17 campaign.
“He had a conversation with sporting director Michael Zorc two weeks ago,” Watzke continued. “Mats informed us that he is thinking about his future and there is nothing wrong with that.”
Hummels has scored once in 17 league matches so far this season and boasts a total of 21 goals in 240 appearances since joining Dortmund from Bayern Munich in 2007.
