Keshi Already Knows World Cup Squad

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has already conceived his 23-man squad for the 2014 World Cup in his mind, but will wait two days before the warm-up match against Greece to unveil the names.

The African champions have started training sessions in Philadelphia ahead of Wednesday’s game against Brazil-bound 2004 European champions at the Union Stadium in the USA city, and the ex-Mali and Togo tactician says he has a blueprint of those to make the Brazil trip.

“Yes I have an idea of those who will go with us to Brazil but we will still wait till the last minute before we announce the list,” Keshi is quoted as saying by the team’s spokesperson Ben Alaiya.

Alaiya also disclosed Keshi had decided to delay the announcement of his final World Cup squad to enable him “have a second look at those who are not measuring up.”

Nigeria play their final World Cup warm-up against USA on June 7 in Jacksonville.
