The quartet of Mfon Udoh, Ubong Moses, Onyekachi Okafor and Chidiebere Eze have been dropped from Nigeria squad for the journey to Nelspruit, South Africa.
The Super Eagles will take on South Africa at the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday and caretaker coach, Daniel Amokachi, has named a 23-man party for the friendly match.
A delegation of 23 players are now to fly a chartered ARIK Air plane from the Ibom International Airport, Uyo directly to Nelspruit before midnight on Friday.
Warri Wolves striker Okafor was named as a replacement for the injured Brown Ideye earlier in the week, but has been axed from the flight to South Africa.
Nigeria suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Uganda at the Nest of Champions stadium on Wednesday. Enyimba’s Udoh was a substitute in that match, while Kano Pillars forward Moses and Gabros International goalkeeper Eze were named on the bench.
100-cap goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has already returned to his club base in France.
