President Goodluck Jonathan has prayed for the quick recovery of the ailing Governor of Taraba State, Danbaba Danfulani Suntai as preparations for the 2015 general elections enter top gear. He also vowed to reclaim Adamawa State from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Jonathan was speaking weekend during the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, North-East Rally in Bauchi.
He said: “We are praying for the ailing governor of Taraba State for a speedy recovery to enable him join us in our activities and we are assuring you that all states in the North East are PDP states, we will reclaim Adamawa, Yobe and Borno States will join us”.
He advised party supporters not to be hoodwinked by politicians, claiming that PDP is a great party not only in Nigeria but in the whole of Africa as he said more than 60 percent of Nigerians are in the ruling party.
National chairman of PDP, Alhaji Ahmed Adamu Mu’azu said the performance of PDP Governors in the North East is far better than that of the other non PDP Governors.
“Only PDP governors in Bauchi, Gombe and Taraba built airports even the infrastructures in Adamawa are done by PDP, Adamawa is ours, if one person left, we will reclaim back our state”, he said.
Mu’azu also advised aspirants seeking elective positions on the platform of the party to go back to the grassroots and seek for the support of their people and assured that the party will not go contrary to the people’s choice.
