Adamawa PDM Guber Candidate Denies Stepping Down For APC Counterpart

Ahmed-ModibboThe governorship candidate of the People Democratic Movement in Adamawa State, Ahmed Modibbo, has dismissed rumours of his stepping down for his All Progressive Congress counterpart, Jibrila Bindow, in the April 11 governorship election as false.

Speaking on Thursday through his campaign organization, the PDM candidate said “I am the best candidate vying for the Yola Government House and the most qualified person to steer the affair of the state”.

He added that he was fully in the race to salvage the state from bad government, reiterating he had no intention to step down for anybody.

The Director General of Moddibo Campaign Organisation, Joshua Wungari, at a press conference in Yola, the state capital on Thursday, said the former UBEC executive secretary was fully in the race for the governor’s seat.

Mr. Wungari, therefore, called on the electorates to come out en-masse and vote for Mr. Modibbo and other PDM candidates at the April 11 polls.
