Benue PDP Bleeds As Deputy Gov, Ex-AGF, Aondoakaa, Others Set To Defect To APC

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State is fast losing its appeal among people of the state following the overwhelming victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last Saturday presidential and national assembly election.

This much was attested to by no more a personality than a former youth director for the Suswam campaign organisation, Chief John Akperashi Gum, who has already fixed a date, 7th April, 2015 – four days before the governorship and state assembly elections – for his defection ceremony.

This is just as a former Minister of Justice, Mike Aondoakaa (SAN) and Suswam’s deputy, Chief Steven Lawani and a member-elect of the House of Representatives for the Ukum, Katsina-Ala and Logo Federal Constituency, Emmanuel Udende, are reported to have concluded plans to dump PDP for the APC.

According to LEADERSHIP, the former youths director of Suswam Campaign Organization, Gum, on Thursday withdrew all his campaign vehicles from the PDP campaign organisation, rebranded them with the campaign pictures of General Buhari and Chief Ortom (APC guber candidate) and formally donated them to the Ortom/Abounu campaign organisation in a well-attended ceremony.
