The state finals of the Federation Cup were concluded over the weekend, as directed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The Anambra State final was suspended by the NFF as a result of the ongoing power tussle within the state FA after two parallel bodies ran different competitions, prompting the NFF to hold up the Anambra final.
In Kogi State, Idah FC edged giant-killing Federal Medical Centre (FMC) 1-0. FMC eliminated the much experienced Kogi United in the semi-finals but failed to reenact same feat in the final.
In Rivers State, Dolphins FC secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Sharks FC. Heartland FC are winners in Imo State after seeing off Papilo FC- owned by ex-Nigeria International Kanu Nwankwo- 2-0.
In Plateau State, Plateau United claimed state championship via penalty shootout after ending regulation time against Glo Premier League side Giwa FC 1-1. Vision Boys are winners of the Ekiti State final with a 1-0 success over Maracana FC.
