Guber Polls: Buhari, Oyegun Take Message of Change to Adamawa, Urge Electorate to Vote for APC candidates

Screenshot (379)Buoyed by the success of the All Progressives Congress in the March 28 presidential and national assembly elections, the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), the national chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other party officials, have arrived Yola, the Adamawa State capital, to campaign for the party’s candidates in this Saturday’s governorship and state assembly polls.


Mr. Buhari and other leaders of the APC arrived Yola airport at 10.55 a.m.


They were received by the leader of the party in the state, Atiku Abubakar, and the governorship candidate, Sen. Umaru Bindow.


The president-elect later proceeded to palace of the Lamido of Adamawa, Alh. Muhammadu Barkindo Musdafa, to pay traditional homage.


Later, at Lelewa hotel where he addressed APC members and supporters, Mr. Buhari said, “I am in Adamawa state to say thank you for your votes and I appeal to you all to vote for APC candidates in the remaining election in the state.


“We believed in you and we know that your support to us will enable us serve you better and that is why we are appeal to you to vote for Bindow and all the House of Assembly members”.


Other speakers, including Atiku and Oyegun, appealed to the people of the state to come out en mass to vote for APC candidates come April 11.
