Irate Mob Beats Notorious Armed Robber To Death In Enugu

An angry mob in Enugu State has beaten a notorious armed robber identified as Emeka Odo to death, this is according to a press statement issued by the State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amaraizu, and made available to newsmen.

It was learnt that the late robber had been a torn in the flesh of motorists and inhabitants within Obollo Afor in Udenu Local Government Area of the state and its environs.

Amaraizu disclosed that nemesis caught up with the robber after he allegedly pulled a locally made pistol on a victim, following which a mob swiftly disarmed him, rescued his victim and inflicted serious injuries on him.

“It was gathered that before the arrival of police operatives, the suspect was already in a state of unconsciousness and, on the way to hospital, gave up the ghost.

“It was further gathered that suspect had been on the wanted list of the police operatives over his nefarious activities, ranging from several reported cases of armed robbery within Obollo Afor and its environs”, Amaraizu stated.

The state police spokesman added that a locally made pistol with live cartridges was recovered from the scene of the beating.
