Ronaldo Scores Five as Real Crush Granada 9-1

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a first-half hat-trick and a second-half brace as Real Madrid thrashed Granada at the Santiago Bernebeu.

Gareth Bale opened scoring on 25 minutes before the Portuguese superstar increased the home side’s lead to 4-0 at the break with an eight-minute treble.

Ronaldo added his fourth in the second half, either side of Karim Benzema own brace.

Robert Ibanez pulled one back for Granada but Diego Mainz’s own goal and Ronaldo’s fifth closed out a dominant win for Carlo Ancelotti’s men.

The emphatic win helped the Los Blancos close in to just a point of leaders Barcelona, who have a game in hand, as well as improving their goal difference.

Bale rounded the goalkeeper to place Real ahead. Ronaldo scored his fifth hat-trick of the La Liga season and his 24th in the history of the Spanish top flight to tie with Lionel Messi.
