Flying Eagles Name 30 for Final AYC Qualifier

Coach Manu Garba has named a 30-man squad for a training camp ahead of Nigeria U-20 men’s team final 2015 African Youth Championship (AYC) qualifier against Lesotho.


Dele Alampasu, Kelechi Iheanacho and Chidiebere Nwakali are familiar names from the victorious Golden Eaglets squad, who won a record 4th Fifa U-17 World Cup last year, included in the squad.


The trio alongside 27 others took part in a two-week rigorous screening exercise at the Fifa Goal Project in Abuja.

The Flying Eagles will host Lesotho on August 16 before traveling to Maseru for the return leg a fortnight later. The overall winners of the two-legged fixture advance into the group stages of the 2015 AYC billed for Senegal.
