Dele Alli Joins Spurs, Back with MK Dons Till End of the Season

Teenage wonderkid Bamidele ‘dele’ Alli has completed his transfer to Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and has been loaned back to Milton Keynes Dons for the rest of the campaign.


“It’s a massive club and I’m really happy to be here,” a delighted Alli to Spurs’ website. “I’m really looking forward to meeting all the lads and getting to work with the manager. It’s a dream come true.”


The 18-year-old has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with the White Hart Lane club until 2020.


Alli has been a key figure in the Dons’ bid to return to the Championship and will have to wait till next season before digging at top-flight football.


“I’d love to play for Spurs and at White Hart Lane,” he said. “It won’t be easy and I’ll have to fight for my place in the team but I’ll work hard to do that.”


He is eligible to play for Nigeria through his paternal parent.
