Tony Elumelu is the founder of Heirs Holdings, and investment firm. He is also the Chairman of one of Africa’s biggest conglomerates, Transnational Corporation (Transcorp) and one of the continent’s biggest financial institutions, United Bank of Africa (UBA). According to Forbes, 51-year old Elumelu is worth 1 billion U.S dollars.

Meanwhile, last year, Elumelu initiated the “Elumelu Nigeria Empowerment Fund” which was launched by President Goodluck Jonathan with the purpose of revitalizing the economies of post conflict and disaster communities across Nigeria.
