Business Partners? P-Square Visits Billonaire Tony Elumelu In His Office | Photos

Nigeria’s biggest music group, P-Square (Paul and Peter Okoye), are not strangers when it comes to rolling with the big boys in town.


If the duo are not in Aso-rock for a dinner with President Goodluck Jonathan, they are being hosted by an the Gambian President. That is how big they are. From presidential palaces to royal castles and to billionaires yachts.


For Tony Elumelu, his passion for youth empowerment is unrivaled. The Delta-born boardroom guru, through his foundation has committed $100m over the next 10 years to 10,000 entrepreneurs across Africa. An initiative, he hopes will empower the next generation of leaders who will be instrumental in developing Africa.


Through his entrepreneurship programme, Elumelu has continued to mentor young people across the continent and it will seem that the Okoye brothers have bought into the initiative. Perharps, Elumelu has decided to reach out to entertainers in order to bring them on board as he recently hosted R&B crooner and Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) boss, Bankole Wellington also knows as Banky W.


Tony Elumelu is the founder of Heirs Holdings, and investment firm. He is also the Chairman of one of Africa’s biggest conglomerates, Transnational Corporation (Transcorp) and one of the continent’s biggest financial institutions, United Bank of Africa (UBA). According to Forbes, 51-year old Elumelu is worth 1 billion U.S dollars.

Meanwhile, last year, Elumelu initiated the “Elumelu Nigeria Empowerment Fund” which was launched by President Goodluck Jonathan with the purpose of revitalizing the economies of post conflict and disaster communities across Nigeria.
