Super Eagles forward Anthony Ujah and Cameroon international Samuel Eto’O are the latest football stars to support Dani Alves’s response to banana throwing racist.
The incident which happened during Barcelona’s 3-2 win over Villareal last weekend, has taken social media by storm with players, public figures, celebrities and ordinary people alike posting pictures of themselves, banana in hand, with the hashtag #WeAreAllMonkeys.
Alves was about taking a corner when the banana landed on the pitch. He responded by peeling and having a bite of the banana before taking his kick.
FC Cologne and Chelsea FC strikers Ujah and Eto’O have joined the campaign against racism, by posting a picture on their twitter handle.
