Kano Pillars are 90 minutes away from reaching the first round of the Caf Champions League.
The Glo Premier League champions assumed command of their preliminary round tie with South Sudan’s Al-Malakia FC after a 2-0 first leg win in Juba about a fortnight ago.
The South Sudanese champions visit Pillars’ Sani Abacha stadium on Saturday looking to overturn a two-goal home deficit, while the Nigerian hosts are looking to retain momentum in a bid to reach the money-spinning group stage for the first time in over five years.
The winner of this tie will face the winners of another prelim between Moroccan club Mohgreb Athletic de Tetouan and Club Olympique de Bamako from Mali in the first round. Moghreb Tetouan- remember them…? from the 2014 Fifa Club World Cup- lost the first leg 2-0 in Bamako.

Pillars will be playing at the renovated Sani Abacha Stadium, Sabon Gari, Kano, for the first time in ten years.
Home team forward Ubong Ekpai said ‘Sai Masu Gida’ are wary of their opponents’ revival threat.
“We have been training hard won’t take them for granted because we won away 2-0, we want to finish it off and complete a double over them,” Ekpai said.
The game has come thick and fast for Umar Zango, who missed the first leg through a knee problem.
