Eagles Get May 27 Deadline for Scotland Friendly

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi on Tuesday said players invited for the friendly against Scotland were expected to arrive at the team’s camp latest a day to the encounter.


Nigeria is billed to play Scotland at Fulham’s Craven Cottage ground on Wednesday, May 28. The match if part of the team’s build up for the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.


Keshi says the May 27 deadline is to enable the team utilise a day to iron out some technical details.

“We are playing on May 28, and we all should be there on May 27 so that we can have at least a one-day training session before we play,” Keshi said.


In the meantime, the coach is still in the process of selecting 30 players out of the list of 38 submitted to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).


The NFF has assured that the 30-man provisional squad list will be ready before the May 10 Fifa deadline.
