Debutantes Nishikori, Raonic Complete World Tour Finals Field

Japan’s Kei Nishikori and Canada’s Milos Raonic complete the eight- player field for this month’s ATP World Tour Finals.

Both Nishikori, 24, and Raonic, 23 are set to make their first appearance in the season-ending tournament and have made history by becoming the first Asian and Canadian player respectively to compete among the best tennis players in the world in the singles at the final showdown.

Sixth seed Nishikori sealed the eight-man field after defeating Spaniard David Ferrer 3-6 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 in a thrilling quarter-finals game at the Paris Masters on Friday. The win over 4th seed Ferrer guaranteed a spot for both him and seventh seed Raonic, who earlier in the day upset Roger Federer 7-6(5) 7-5 to progress to the semi-finals at the Palais Omnisport, Bercy, Paris.
