Andy Murray advanced to the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters via straight sets win over Grigor Dimitrov on Thursday.
The Briton sailed past ninth seed Dimitrov 6-3 6-3 in one hour and nine minutes to set up a last 8 duel with either top seed Novak Djokovic or Frenchman Gael Monfils, who lock horns later on Wednesday.
The third round win over the previously in-form Bulgarian sees the 8th seed book his place in the ATP World Tour Finals for a seventh consecutive season and end his opponent’s ambitions.
He joins Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Stanislas Wawrinka and Marin Cilic in the season-finale, which fields the best eight tennis players in the world. The remaining three berths are up for grab at the Paris Masters.
