You’ve earned yourself a cold one, sir.
Police in Oklahoma say that a 14-year-old boy who tried to rob a convenience store — on a school day! — was thwarted by a beer man making a routine delivery, according to KFOR.
Brock Nulph, an employee of Pope Beer Distributing, was dropping off some suds at D&T Convenience in Enid on Monday when the would-be robber walked in wearing a mask.
“I said, ‘what do you need? You need to go back outside or take that stuff off your face, you can’t be in here like that,’” Kristi Shiemann, the clerk on duty, recalled for the television station.
The suspect waited until other customers left the store and then he began the alleged robbery attempt.
Shiemann jumped up on the cashier counter with a shocking stick, but the boy seemed undeterred. She then called for help, and BOOM: Nulph arrived with a special delivery for the suspect.
“I grabbed him and slammed him to the ground,” Nulph told the Enid News. “He had a stick as his weapon. It was wrapped up to make it look like a gun.”
The suspect is charged with armed robbery, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of tobacco.
