Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal with Fiorentina for the services of Colombian winger, Juan Cuadrado.
Reports in England claim the 26-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the ‘Blues’ and the Premier League leaders are now dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s on remaining details of the move.
Cuadrado’s release clause is set at £26.8m ($40.3 million) and Chelsea are believed to have tabled a fee of £23.3m. Sky sources suggest winger, Mohammed Salah, 22, will go in the opposite direction on loan as part of the deal.
Cuadrado, who has scored 20 goals in 85 games since arriving in Genoa from Udinese, could travel to London for a medical on Friday should there be no hitches in discussion.
Chelsea are expected to use the £25 million ($37.6 million) realised from the impending transfer of Andre Schurrle to second-placed Bundesliga side VFB Wolfsburg to cover expenses on Cuadrado.
Reports also claim Schurrle had arrived Wolfsburg to discuss personal terms.
