on points with Akwa United, but lead on goal difference.
Giwa United stunned Akwa United at home courtesy of an Amos Gyang strike after ten minutes of kick-off.
The victory helped the league debutantes move up fourth with 12 points from seven matches.
Kaduna United sits in the 18th position with seven points ahead of their trip to Gombe this weekend.
