Here are 5 ways to use your phone to keep communication and sexiness flowing in your marriage.
1. Finish all conversations before you enter the house. It’s been said that you set the tone for the entire night in the first two minutes that you enter the house after returning from work. I have seen this firsthand. When you finish your conversations before you open the door, you symbolically show that you are ready to be available and present for your family. You show that you are not distracted. You show that you want to be able to focus and actively participate in your family life.
2. Set your timer to remind you to text your spouse during the workday especially if you are always stressed and busy at work. Ever look up and see that it is close to 2pm and you haven’t reached out to your beau all day. Too much of that will set a bad habit for the marriage. While it does not sound spontaneous or romantic, scheduling check-ins will ensure your spouse feels loved and taken care of.
3. Surprise them with a cute and quick video during the day. Instead of a love note, why not send a cute (fully-clothed) video?
4.Refrain from having conversations with friends while driving in the car. Being in the car can be a great time to catch-up, connect, and converse with your partner, especially if you are on a long distance trip. If you spend most of your time speaking to your homegirls or homeboys, it can give the impression that you don’t want to invest in and be plugged-in into your own life.
5. Turn off the phones during dinner time. No lie, I was addicted to my phone and my computer and I would find myself reaching for both out of reflex while we ate. My husband HATED this and thought it was disrespectful. I knew that he was right, but it was such a s-t-r-u-g-g-l-e to step away from the technology, but I knew that if it was making Le Hubs upset, it would negatively impact our marriage. So, I had to do it and I am glad that I did
