West Bromwich Albion have officially named Tony Pulis as their new manager.
Pulis, 56, succeeds Alan Irvine, who was sacked after Albion’s defeat at Stoke City last year.
Pulis has agreed a two-and-a-half-year contract to manage the Midland club and will resume duty for the Baggies’s FA Cup third round home clash with Gateshead after today’s Premier League trip to West Ham United.
The Welsh coach had been out of management since living Crystal Palace “by mutual consent” shortly before the start of the season.
He guided Palace to an 11th-place finish in the 2013-14 season and was named Premier League manager of the year.
