Former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku says his ambition to contest in the 2015 governorship election in Nasarawa State is still on course.
Maku made this known while delivering his New Year message at St. Williams Cathedral, Lafia, Nasarawa State capital.
Although he lost the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primaries in the state, Maku said he was still pressing on with his ambition to contest in the 2015 governorship election.
According to him, the Appeal Panel had not responded to the petition he submitted to it on the outcome of the primaries.
“I want to assure my supporters that no amount of conspiracy by a few people will stop me from contesting the 2015 general elections,” Maku said.
He advised the people of the state not to vote along religious or ethnic lines, but choose people capable of confronting the challenges faced by the state.
