A 32-year-old woman identified as Anso Comfort has been remanded in prison for assaulting her 9-year-old niece with a red-hot knife which she placed on her private part.
She was said to have carried out the wicked act on October 27 because the little girl who was living with her came home late at night.
Comfort, who has already pleaded guilty to the charges, is facing a charge of cruelty to children and causing grievous hurt.
