This was announced in a statement signed and broadcast by Secretary to the State Government, Dr. David Salifu, who urged all the affected council chairmen to immediately comply with the directive.
He further directed the sacked executives to quickly hand over the running of the affairs of their councils to the director generals of administration of all the affected local governments to forge ahead with the development initiatives of the areas.
The governor, however, acknowledged the loyalty, grassroots development and initiation of landmark projects to communities by the exiting chairmen during their stay in ffice, commending them for their sportsmanship and responsive leadership qualities.
